Richar, Lucrezia and Isabella are very lovely people and very generous hosts. Richar told us about the island and showed us around, Lucrezia’s cooking is truly wonderful and Isabella is a very nice girl, who would play cards with us in the evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a hot shower and it’s an easy walk from the port of Amantani. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil, a perfect rest. At night the stars are magestic with Milky Way visible with naked eye. I would highly recommend staying at Richar’s place to experience the magic of the island in its authenticity. Also, from what I’ve read it is much better for the families who live on the island to book a stay directly with them rather than through an agency.

The room had an amazing view on the sunrise and the lake. The hosts were super helpful and they prepared us a very good dinner and breakfast. Would really recommend to spend a night in taquile and stay at Mario and Julia.

My stay at Amantani Lodge was outstanding. Henry and Mariluz provided exceptional hospitality and service, and the delicious meals were definitely a highlight. They were very accommodating and helped with all my transportation and other needs. The room was fantastic, featuring hot water, clean towels, comfortable mattresses, and cozy duvets that were perfect for the cold. The view was incredible, and I experienced the best starry sky of my life. All these elements combined made my stay at their lodge a dream, offering both comfort and warmth on the island. After almost two months of traveling in Peru, this may be our favorite place to have stayed. We booked the room with a view over the lake, and it was beautiful to wake up to. We enjoyed all of our meals and were taken great care of. The bed is super comfortable as well!

I loved spending 2 days on the island. It is so peaceful and quiet. Great stay at Ana Julia's house, dinner was good, breakfast was simpel but nice. Ana Julia is a lovely host. First night walked up to Mulsina for a beautiful sunset and the second day I walked all the way to the other part of the island to spend the morning at the beach. Definitly reccommend spending a night on isla Taquile and Ana Julia's homestay.

One word - amazing! It was such a great experience to live with the family and to see how they live and they showed us their traditions.... Everybody was super nice, evening fiesta was interesting and the food was delicious!!
