A hidden gem in the mountains with amazing views on doi Inthanon, which is at a short drive away. The place is built with lots of love. Its a brand new wooden cabin, with lots of space and nice terraces, lovely dogs and a very nice father and owner. Its not luxurious, but thats fine, as it would make it less authentic, considering its situated in a small mountain town...Unbelievably, but true, there's the best Italian restaurant I ever visited in Thailand, at a 7 min walk!!

Suan Sook was a beautiful and peaceful end to our Mae Hong Son loop journey. Kevin was a fantastic host with lots of great recommendations for local food and attractions. Breakfast was amazing and the dogs were a very special treat! It was so hard to leave this place, we would come back any time.

The little village was so lovely, everyone as friendly as all Thai people are, they helped us fix a car that picked us up from chiang mai, drove us around doi inthanon national park for 2 days and to drive us back to chiang mai airport, it was so cheap and breakfast was included, I think is was a great breakfast considering it’s a small village and it’s included The room and bathroom was so nice, we expected a more village vibe but it was more of a nice hotel vibe We stayed in the rooms not bungalowes unfortunately so can’t say anything about them Views are great!

We stayed en route back to Chiang Mai at end of Mai Hong Son loop. Little nearby but perfect for wind down. Beautifully maintained grounds, spacious and clean rooms and lovely to have the pool. Welcome coconut on arrival and cold drink each time we came back in the afternoon from Farinda's mum (farinda 7 month old baby). Food ample both evening and breakfast (thai - rice and meat). We extended our stay and drove out instead to Doi Inthanon and Pha Chor NPs. Helpful recommendations given NB Take your own beer and cold drinks

Lovely cabins, in a truly remarkable location! They are cabins, so very basic, not hermetically closed and no airconditioning. But the quiet and the authenticity, both of the location looking out on the rice fields and in a beautiful garden, and of the wonderful ever-smiling hostess made our stay one to remember with great fondness. The hostess didn't speak English, but used Google Translate, which worked great. Next door is another homestay with restaurant where you can eat lovely Thai food with an exceptional view and very friendly staff. About 200m to the other side is a place serving Italian food.

Staff were excellent. Stayed in January and it was cold in the evening. Staff drove up to us with 2 extra quilts and 2 extra blankets. So kind. Excellent location. Just perfect 👌

    We stayed there 3 nights and our stay there couldn't been nicer. Neela is a fantastic host: She prepared a wonderful breakfast every morning, gave us many good recommendations, was always there for us and is a really kind person. The location is a bit remote, but is because of that really quite. You can enjoy a gorgeous sunset from the kitchen or the little porch and can see many stars in the evening. The nationalpark is worth a visit as well.

    The hosts were very kind, warm, friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the view was beautiful. The location is great if you plan on exploring the Doi Inthanon area by scooter/car, the meals were simple yet delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to get out of the city and are not a light sleeper (see comment below).
