    I was expecting a cheap hotel with marginal facilities. It turned out to be old but clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again. The breakfast also exceeded my expectations.

    Great welcome from the owners who were friendly and couldn’t do more for their guests. The location is fine although a bit of a walk downtown. However, parking was not a problem downtown.

    Great location to view the total eclipse. Price was very high, but that's supply and demand! Close to Lake Amistad. Rudy's Texas BBQ very close by for that traditional Texas eating experience. Breakfast was a bit overwhelmed by the number of travellers, Eggs and potato tots (I think that's what they are called) were great but there was no bacon (sad face)

    Handy to freeway and the local Applebees was good and Starbucks both within a few minutes plus others. Convenient for me and got a good deal.
