We had a wonderful time at Coconuco Beach Resort. It is a quiet oasis just 10 minutes walking distance outside of buzzing Palomino. We really had a great and relaxing time. The rooms are very clean, the premises are well looked after and the staff went out of their way to make this stay a 10/10.

People sometimes forget that the front desk isn’t their personal concierge, yet the staff still went above and beyond for us. Their patience and responsiveness made a huge difference in the quality of our stay. The restaurant exceeded our expectations — the food was truly top-notch. Fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best meals we had during our time in Colombia. We also loved the presence of the rescued pups roaming the property. They added a warm, authentic charm to the environment and made the place feel even more welcoming.

We loved the cabana feel of the rooms with common areas and pool. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and convenient to restaurants and bars. Junior and the staff were attentive to everything we needed and extremely friendly.

Just a short walk from the malecón, I could enjoy sunsets over the sea, delicious street food, and vibrant local markets. It felt authentic, welcoming, and safe, with friendly locals and a laid-back vibe that made me want to stay longer. This was the ideal base for exploring La Guajira—from Cabo de la Vela to the salt flats of Manaure. Whether you're here to relax or to adventure, this spot is a perfect launchpad. I’ll definitely be back!

Aiwa Hotel er með útisundlaug, garð, einkastrandsvæði og verönd í Mayapo. Gististaðurinn státar af herbergisþjónustu og veitingastað. The food experience was amazing, the locals put something of their culture to share with the tourists a different gastronomic experience. I'll comeback and try other dishes.

Beautiful guesthouse with a garden, a bit away from the main street. The owner is lovely, the rooms are neat and breakfast is pretty good. Plenty of dogs and cats in the courtyard.
