The B & B was beautifully appointed in both the common areas and our room. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, home baked scones, muffins and sour dough bread and exceptional yogurt. The deck in the back of the house added another place to relax and gaze at the ocean.

Set on Aran Islands 6-5 km from Kilronan port, Aran Walkers Lodge features a garden, a terrace and free WiFi. We offer a complete complimentary breakfast. My friend and I arrived on Saturday morning, and Sean was already there in his minivan, waiting to welcome us and the other guests. From the very start, his friendliness and attentiveness set the tone for an exceptional stay. The lodge is about 6 km from the main village, and although it is a little off the beaten track, the option to hire a bike made it a delightful and peaceful location. It is also conveniently close to the Worm Hole, which I highly recommend visiting! Sean gave us fantastic advice to help us make the most of our experience on the island. We stayed in a family room, which was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The private bathroom was an added bonus, and the view of the island from our room was simply stunning. The other guests were also very friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The living room is large and cosy, filled with books and comfortable sofas, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There is also space for yoga, both indoors and outdoors, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was varied, with plenty of hot and cold options to choose from. But the moment that truly stayed with me was returning from dinner in the main village to find the common area lit with candles, creating an intimate, immersive atmosphere that perfectly complements the wild beauty of the island and its charming native surroundings. Sean’s hospitality, the lodge’s comfort, and the peaceful, beautiful location make Aran Walkers Lodge an unforgettable place to stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Clodagh was super friendly and offered so many great suggestions to us. Breakfast area was lovely and the food itself was just what we needed to start the day. We were two couples the downstairs room was tiny so the bed was a full but I slept great. The whole house is lovely and clean. The view is stunning. I was concerned because we had a later ferry and didn’t have time to run to the market and we were pleasantly surprised to have fresh bread milk and eggs to make breakfast with. I will try to stay here on my next visit. We all loved having space to hang out and enjoy our trip.

I got a free upgrade into a chalet with a beautiful sea view. The pan fried sea bass I had for dinner was amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the staff were great, particularly Joanna on reception who arranged for my phone charger to be put on the ferry to the mainland, after I left it in my room, and the hotel manager who took it down to the ferry port. Cannot fault this hotel, highly recommended.
