Exceptional hostess, helpful (went the extra mile), had plenty of local contacts for taxi, car-hire, trips etc. Very friendly, but also left me my own time when I needed it. Free access to a fully-equipped kitchen, fridge etc.Very clean throughout. Netflix available - good job (see weather comment) Great pool and really cute dog! Highly recommend for a quiet island stay.

Gilles & Henriette were superb hosts and made us feel at home. The setting is so tranquil and like a home from home. Breakfast was an unexpected highlight - especially the delicious homemade jams and coconut bread, plus the fruit from the garden. Don't miss sunset drinks and dinner at the Opoa Beach Hotel down the road - plus there's tasty pizza on offer next door too.

Camping Nany is a recently renovated campground in Taputapuapea, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden.

Nice hosts and house. I felt like at home. Scooter for rent was good and cheaper than is common there. Thank you Ben for your help with planning of my trip to Marquesas. Although my month-long trip on islands from Tahiti to Maupiti was amazing, my almost week on Hiva Oa and Fatu Hiva was a class better from a traveler's perspective.

Excellent studio apartment with kitchenette. Quiet and quality air conditioning plus TV. Marie is a wonderful host speaking french Spanish and excellent English. Arranged for our All Rides rental car to be delivered to our door. Free laundry line dried by request was appreciated. At the end of the driveway we bought fresh Bonito from a local's eski for 1500 f, then cooked on induction element and it was delicious.

Marc is a fantastic host who picked us up from the airport and took us to buy groceries before taking us to his lovely b'n'b in the hills. We would definitely recommend going to the supermarket first as there are not any shops close by. The accommodation was spacious and clean.
