I got in late on the bus and he showed where I could get dinner. The apartment is in a great central location and was super clean. The shower got super hot and was very nice. The bed was very big and comfortable. Highly recommend Walter and his apartments.

From the moment I made the booking, I already received a warm response from the Edward. He contacted me immediately and made sure my transportation was perfectly arranged. When I arrived in Kabale, he was there waiting for me together with Oris. Such incredibly kind people. They took me to the boat and arranged the boat ride to the beautiful accommodation. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by friendly staff, including the cheerful chef, who cooked an absolutely delicious meal for me — truly the best meal I had in Uganda. I will never forget it. The cottage and the houses are beautifully located with a stunning view over Lake Bunyonyi. The cottages are extremely clean, and the view you have from there is simply amazing. Edward and Oris also took such good care of me on my return journey, making sure I got back safely and helping me throughout my transport and travel. Edward and Oris, people like you are the reason I travel. You are incredibly kind and have truly good hearts. I wish you all the very best, and I enjoyed every single moment of my stay with you. Everything was beyond perfect. I love the seclusion of the island. The first highlight is the ride to the boat pier and the boat ride to the island through Lake Bunyonyi. The welcome by the staff is warm and honest. The property is fully self-sustaining, so if you're not a fan of outdoor latrines, be prepared ;) Hot showers are available but need about an hour preparation time. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate all your wishes and make you feel right at home. I recommend staying in their geo domes as it is an experience you will never forget. The menu at their "canteen" is a dream for vegetarians. Just the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. They organize tours to other islands as well, which I didn't try as I just wanted to relax for a few days before heading to the hustling streets of Kampala. They also organized a gorilla track for me in Bwindi at very short notice, which they made into the perfect day and memorable experience. Thanks again for everything 🙏

Cylia and all the staff were fantastic and made sure we didn't miss anything! We are two young women and we stayed at the Ruhija Gorilla Guest house for one night and then tracked with the gorillas the next day but we would have stayed longer! Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and with two big comfortable beds. The dinner they cooked for us was great and Cylia is careful to fulfil your every wish. Before dinner we visited the village (an experience not to be missed) we met the local people and visited the school and the orphanage; all the people are extremely kind. The location was very good, near the lake with a good view of Lake , clean, the breakfast was OK , the shower was good and we could wash all clothes and it had good sun for drying clothes
