I had a wonderful night at Moonlight Luxury Camp. The tents were clean, everyone was very friendly, the sunset was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. There was even a bonfire party! Special thanks to my buddy Yasuo for driving me back to Bidiyah and letting me experience the thrill of driving in the desert!

We stayed for two nights and were so glad we did. Saeed and his brothers took such good care of us. From the pick up to the activities and the dinner, it was all great! We specifically liked the tours and the friendliness of all the hosts. We cannot recommend it enough!

Amazing Desert Experience – Peaceful, Clean, and Unforgettable! I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

I never imagined the experience would be so fulfilling. Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.

Perfect location in the golden sands of the desert. Exciting 4x4 experience on the way to (luckily assisted by the owners) 2 brothers who run this camp are very welcoming and friendly. Delicious food even with vegetarian options and first of all - one of the best beds we were sleeping on! Huge, hight quality mattresses with luxurious linen.

My stay at Desert Waves Camp was truly memorable. Set right in the desert, it’s an authentic, laid-back spot—ideal for those wanting a more personal experience over the larger, commercial camps. Saoud, our host, even met us at the desert entrance to guide us to the camp, making arrival smooth and welcoming. The food was tasty, and stargazing under the clear night sky was a highlight. Just a note—bring cash to pay for your stay and activities. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the desert in a relaxed, comfortable setting.

Rashid Desert Private Camp er staðsett í Bidiyah á Al Sharqiyah-svæðinu og er með svalir. Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Mr. Rashid is an excellent host, very friendly, a great service mind. The location is surreal in the middle of desert, a bit far from other camps which means you have all the privacy you need. The dinner and breakfast was quite delicious. We highly recommend this desert camp and hoping to revisit again.

Arab desert camp er staðsett í Al Raka og býður upp á gistingu með setusvæði. Gististaðurinn er með fjallaútsýni. Lúxustjaldið er með fjölskylduherbergi. The bed was comfortable. The tent had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean, though of course you will see some sand blown away as the bathroom is open-air but this was not an issue. Water pressure was good, hot water available and the water quality was clean. The camp is in a secluded area. There were noise due to the National holiday but it is normally quiet. Food was excellent! The staff were helpful and friendly, specially our friend from Yemen. I didn't catch his name but he was great and made our stay memorable. Thank you so much Camp Alsaif!
