Campsites in Sigiriya

This place is magical. The guy running it is so welcoming, and catered to our needs from start to finish, even helping with special requests which meant going out of his way for us. The property is so tranquil, and we left feeling relaxed after being able to spend time together away from the hustle bustle. We were able to rent a scooter easily from the campsite, and use the kayak as much as we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean & had everything we needed. Highly recommend this to everyone & would go again in a heartbeat!

It was really interesting experience, but at the booking.com is written it’s about 1,7 km to the center of city, but in reality we were 5 km from city. The owner picked us up by jeep at the evening but than he was trying to convinced us to go for safari with him next day, otherwise we have to walk back throw the forest where was possibility to meet wild elephant. We were scared but on the end at the morning he offered us to take us to the city. But it’s just more far away than it’s written.
