The Location is amazing, the Staff and owner even better. 10/10 would highly recommend. Breakfast was great, dinner buffet was good. They offer tours and activities but don’t push you to buy anything. Great experience in an amazing environment.

An absolutely perfect desert experience! The camp is beautiful, the tents are high quality with super comfortable beds, and the whole setup is just what you’d want from a desert stay. The location is stunning – peaceful, authentic, and surrounded by incredible landscapes. The service was outstanding. Mohamed, the owner, is extremely kind and welcoming, and also the staff who took care of the food was also incredibly friendly and thoughtful. You can really feel the attention to detail – for example, we were given ice pops to cool down during the hot afternoon, which was such a nice touch! The food was excellent – fresh, tasty, and very generous portions. We also did a desert SUV ride, which was a great experience with plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos. At night, we were treated to a breathtaking starry sky – truly magical and unforgettable. All in all, just perfect. Super service, warm hospitality, and a magical atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Many many things to note for Al Salam camp, all of which positive. The camp is situated a bit in the beginning of Wahiba Sands, yet we still asked for a transfer/pick-up. Instead of scamming us and taking our money, they told us that its only 1-2km of bad road and any car can do it, and so we did and saved us some OMR. Then we arrived and instantly got a room upgrade, no reason given, but we couldn't deny it and so we ended up having the luxury tent with all the facilities needed, which was amazing. Dinner and breakfast and the other refreshments available were also outstanding But what made this stay special are two people - Naim and Zaher. With Naim we did a sunset quad tour. He was very patient and helpful despite seeing how hard it was for us to drive in the sand :D He helped us get unstuck and showed us a very beautiful desert location for the sunset. Despite the tour being listed for 45minutes, I think in total we spent 90minutes with all the issues and we still paid the same price! Then the next morning it was a sunrise dune bashing tour with Zaher, a local Omani from Bidiyah. This was the cherry on top - as a local he explained a lot about the desert, the animals, the people, the live in there and everything. He made us coffee in the sand, campfire, got us a nice carpet to relax and watch the sunrise. Then we played arab songs, danced, dune bashed and everything. It was amazing. So Naim and Zaher thank you !!!

The service was exceptional, and everything exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding—delicious in every way. We enjoyed a wonderful picnic during breakfast, which was truly memorable. The night sky was breathtaking, and we had a fantastic time sandboarding on the dunes. Our kids had a blast playing in the sand and trying out sandboarding themselves. Sultan was amazing—he and Benjamin were so friendly and helpful, keeping our kids entertained during the sandboarding. The tent was charming and comfortable, though the separate outdoor toilet was not an issue for us. We also went on a safari game drive to spot camels and sheep with one of the staff (we forgot his name), and the drive through the desert was beautiful. He was very kind to take some photos and videos for us. The pickup from the car to the camp was a fantastic experience as well. Overall, the whole experience was superb!!

Loads of conforts which nearly sound like sci-fi, like being able to take a shower in the desert and charge your phone via Usb. The included breakfast was abundant and really top quality. We had an amazing .day there! I would give 11 out of 10 if possible

An excellent experience! The hospitality at the accommodation was warm and welcoming, and the food exceeded all expectations – truly delicious. A special thanks to the host’s son, who showed us around the city and the desert, giving us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture. We also had a memorable camel ride at a neighboring location. Overall, a fantastic stay – highly recommended!

A little distance away from the other camps and up on a ridge so the views over the dunes are amazing. The tents on stilts also great! Dinner and breakfast wonderful, hosts very friendly around the campfire. Easy pickup from local town where we left our hire car. Great experience!
