From the moment I arrived the staff were polite and very helpful. My room was spacious and clean and in a beautiful setting among the trees by the river. The hotel manager was kind enough to send me an electronic copy of a bird field guide so that I could identify the numerous types found around the grounds. The hotel grounds are truly beautiful and well maintained with wildlife abounding in the various trails and paths. Designed so that visitors can walk around in the heaviest of rainfall without getting wet. There is a veranda at the restaurant where you can eat breakfast and watch the birds coming to feed on fruit put out by the staff. Easily reached in two hours using the public buses from San Jose. Breakfast was well prepared and very tasty, both continental and local dishes available.

Situated in Sarapiquí, Yatama Rainforest Ecolodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. Some units have a seating area and/or a balcony.

The cabin we had was amazing! We got an upgrade to the family hut which was such a pleasure to stay in. The staff were lovely, the food was great and the setting just amazing. I also found the prices for the guided tours pretty reasonable.

The location is fantastic: this cabana is quite remote in the middle of the jungle and in the morning we could spot monkeys and quite a few hummingbirds :) Additionally, the house is super well-kept and curated. We loved the outdoor kitchen and the comfy living room. Super recommend!!

LOVED this place. hosts are super attentive. place was exactly as described. lovely view down over the valley and the river which is AMAZING to cool off in and provided hours of entertainment for the kids. fantastic front porch area, fully functional kitchen. and TAKE THE TOUR as it's a really fascinating insight into vanilla production from the (or one of the) first producers in Costa Rica (i had kids duty and missed out on some of the details)
