This is an old-school inn, in the very best sense: spotless, lovely decor, in-house restaurant and even a lounge with a wood fire, where guests and visitors could have afternoon tea or evening ale. The staff to a one were hard working but very personable. Though the weather dampened my hopes for more hiking, it was always a warm respite I found returning to the Lodge.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The home was absolutely spotless and clearly cared for with great attention to detail.
