If you want to feel safe, peace and tranquillity this is the place to be. The birds singing songs in the morning is the best thing to wake up to and the sound of crickets at night are so pleasant. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. I highly recommend having dinner at their place since it’s most likely the very best food in town. Oliver and his significant other will make sure that you feel comfortable in every way. I’m forever grateful for meeting Oliver, family and friends. You won’t regret your stay!

Great place to stay in senyang .in fact best place in Gambia. Ismaila suma was the best of hosts. Never stopped working. So polite and kind . Lodge located right on the beach. Fantastic.

Excellent rooms in a wonderful garden with lots of exotic birds. Close to the beach and not far from the wetlands and the Allahein River in Kartong. Unique birdlife. The hosts and the staff are extremely helpful with anything you might desire. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good WiFi.

Th whole site is very beautiful, well managed, clean, diverse and natural. You can also meet nice people staying there, and the staff are very nice. I loved the owners and their energy as well.

The treehouse itself is beautiful!! Inside & out. Tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable bed, fridge & some utensils, kettle, cafetiere, tea etc. Stunning panoramic views of the ocean & surrounding gardens all from the comfort of your own private terrace. The people, well what can I say? Amazing, genuine, polite & so helpful!! Malick & his wonderful team, Sona, Noah & Babuka are on hand every hour of the day & night, bringing you food, drinks, cigarettes & fresh dates from the market. They went above & beyond. Malick is very special, a talented carpenter (he built the treehouse) & so professional in every way. Euro, the night security guard was very serious about our safety & made sure we were safe & sound through the night. Have to give a special mention to Markus, who is residing at the lodge. He helped us with anything & everything. His travel stories kept us entertained & amazed. Very inspiring!! Also need to mention Michael. He picked us up from the airport, told us a lot of information & also organised a wonderful day trip to the Makasutu Cultural Forest. We fell asleep every night listening to the incredible sounds of the ocean & woke every morning to the sounds of beautiful bird song. Truly paradise! The perfect holiday retreat for peace, relaxation & restoration. A few metres away from a stunning sandy beach, very swimable sea with only gentle waves. The beach itself is almost private, just a few local kids having fun in the water & cheekily asking for photographs. All locals are very friendly, even though life is hard for them. They appreciate any level of support, even if it is just a few bananas or a bracelet. I have to mention our neighbours at Black & White Beach Bar. Food is amazing, people are incredible. Mama & her team, special shout out to Lammey & Petra for making our stay so easy & relaxing. The next beach bar is Happy Corner.

Greg & Maria are wonderful, warm hosts who instantly made us feel relaxed & at home. By the end of our two- nights stay we felt part of the family. Evergreen is a beautifully designed & tranquil oasis, with lots of personal touches. The food was authentic & delicious. Greg is a coffee-connoisseur providing us with ample, real coffee! We cannot wait to return, & will stay for much longer next time.

I Love waking waking up in this serene environment with a huge variety of birds singing songs. Footsteps is very well managed and maintained, the staff is super friendly, well trained and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. The environment is stunning and the lush gardens are extensive featuring a bird hide and a yogashala with yoga mats provided. The organic gardens provide fresh produce, and the kitchen serves both delicious local dishes and a high standard of international dishes, all presented lovingly with a big smile which nurtures a feeling of being completely taken care off. I have been coming to the Gambia for 13 years staying in various accommodations. While some are good when they first open, many fall apart quickly due to poor management. Not so at footsteps. Footsteps has provided me with consistently fabulous holidays over many years. A big thank you to the entire team.

The place is marvellous... in a very beautiful beach, in a lovely nature... we even saw monkeys jumping there as we arrived at the place. The staff was very nice and the food delicious. The owner is a very nice person who always tries to help you and make your stay perfect.

A very beautiful comfortable and well-kept lodge, the surrounding garden is totally lush and idyllic with lots of singing birds that will wake you up in the morning. I loved its traditional design, you can tell a lot of care and attention went into it. The hosts and the staff were super friendly and helpful at all times and will make you feel at home.
