We really enjoyed how we have been integrated, we felt just like another member of the family. We were looking for an authentic experience to spend aluth aruvudu (Buddhist new Year) and we could not have dreamed of something better than the few days we lived at the SNF. After 1month and a half we have never experienced this kind of welcome elsewhere. The whole family is very open minded, intelligent, sensitive, curious but what probably touched us the most is their willingness to share everything: Food (of course) but also what life learned them in general whether it is practical skills like cooking, cutting a coconut, observing nature or more "soft skills" like their view on life and their wisdom. We hope to come back as we know this was a unique and special experience.

I cycled up to the Silver Hill Ecovillage and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Prosanna is a hospitable and engaging host. He kindly lent me his binoculars for some amazing birdwatching. The immediate views from the rooms and terrace are spectacular. His staff are very kindly attentive and prepared some wonderfully healthy home cooked food using locally grown produce. I was impressed with the outstanding scenery and unique location of the Silver Hill Ecovillage. I am so pleased and privileged to have had the chance to stay at this tranquil and mellow

We really liked everything, starting from the location of the property, the variety of delicious breakfasts, and the super friendly staff whom we warmly greet. The building has an interesting design with ethnic motifs and a beautiful view. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, and everything worked perfectly. We recommend it :)

Excellent Breakfast Reliable and worth the money spent This is a fantastic bungalow to stay very convenient to the central areas in kandy. I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to local attractions and transportation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and their attention to detail truly made my stay special. The food was another highlight – delicious, homemade, and served with a smile. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, every meal was a delight.

This was truly a hidden gem, we loved everything about our stay at Kandy River Lodge. The apartment was spotless with essentials for cooking if required. The view of the river from the balcony was beautiful. The host had water bottles tea and coffee available to us and offered us a complimentary transport from the train station. The host was available to help with any requests and very responsive. If you are staying in Kandy I would definitely recommend staying at Kandy River Lodge. If we get the opportunity to come back to Kandy we would definitely book again

I cannot recommend this place enough. The villa is dreamy, with breathtaking peaceful surroundings, clean and the owners cannot do enough to make sure you have the best say. Firstly we were collected as our Uber driver got lost, then the owners organised dinner both evenings, took us to the elephant sanctuary and arranged a drive to our next destination. It was a trip we will never forget
