The room is excellent in space, tidiness, and I love the front door balcony very much! We enjoyed the breakfast everyday outside for our 2 night stay. It is located next to a wheat farm and we observed a lota of good birds around the house! Also, the sheeps, alpacas, deers are all so cute! They all have a name but I forgot their names now.. When you got some feed for them, they were all look crazy and licking your hand.

The room was airy with two separate sliding doors giving access to the garden and decks with tables and chairs for dining outdoors. The room got the morning sun. The bathroom was spacious, and two glass walls of the shower opened right up. The breakfast was laid out for the guests from 8 to 9am, and included mostly breads and sugary things and dairy, which is typical for European breakfasts. I don't eat sugar or dairy, but managed to find enough: boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cold cuts.

The place is lovely-so good we went back again. Owners couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The cabin was immaculate. Everything you want in a home from home-and more. The perfect place to stay. Check out the whale watching and fishing trips while you are there.

The place was spacious, comfortable and clean with easy check-in and parking. There were stunning views out the front and the back and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some really good walks from the front door going to both shores and a very short drive to the town, dolphin and whale watching. We loved it.

The Lazy Shag Lodge in Kaikoura has a garden and a terrace. The hostel features a shared lounge. All rooms at The Lodge have private toilet and shower.
