The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The lodge was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. This place is amazing, right in Te Anau within walking distance of the lake and the bus/boat rides to Fjordland. Host was so amaying and welcoming. Just be aware there are no bowls or plates so brigh your own.

On our 6 weeks NZL Trip High Leys Lodge will loom large as the best place we were lucky enough to stay in. And we stayed in some wonderful places! The location, facilities and provisions were second to none. To top it off, the welcome and service from Sarah was next level. We felt that she knew all our wishes before !could be our best mate... ! TeAnau itself is a stunning location - and sadly, we only had three nights there - but it was the hospitality of John and Sarah that has made us resolute that we will return... even though we are from Germany a good nearly 24 hours away via a couple of flights and a drive! But this place is that special to come back - just because I totally forgot to tune the guitar 🎸
