The train is a wonderful place to stay in. Surprisingly big, with seating area, small kitchen, a bath tube (!) and - of course - a comfortable bed. Kym is a wonderful and helpful host. We needed an additional night and she offered us the Karusel, a new place which is not a 100% finished. Of course, she informed us about this fact. Nothing to complain about.

Boasting lake views, Tukare Cabins provides accommodation with patio, around 6.2 km from Fiordland Cinema. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay.

the room was larger than i expected; the bed was comfier than it looked; the living area furniture was super comfortable; and there was an unenxpected public washer / dryer we were able to use!

Perfect location for catching a boat to Doubtful the next day. We'll set up with everything you need, milk, coffee, shampoo, Netflix. Nicely styled and functional. Had turn the heater on before I arrived.

This place is perfect in so many ways. Host meeting you on arrival - staff appear whether you wander out of your room and ask if they can assist. Amazing service. Every member of the team was perfectly polite, engaging, and responsive. They will organise anything that you want - trips across the surrounding area. One couple had a helicopter trip and it literally landed on the lawn of the place. That is defeintly the way to end a long day! Location - stunning is the word you will probably read most about this place. And it actually is. Room - we had the room with the terrace - I would book this again - as you walk straight out from your room into a courtyard which is in the shade and sun in the afternoon. This is an all-inclusive accommodation - it has to be as it is a trek from the local towns. The food was extremely good. It was never too much or too little the chief has got the balance right. At the end of the trip I left items in the room (very annoyed with myself) the owner looked after them and made sure we got them back. Everything was amazing

The set up of the property was great. We were extremely comfortable! And the host left freshly baked bread which was amazing! We borrowed bikes for free and enjoyed a beautiful bike ride, we fed the alpacas, and we used the hot tub at night which was beautiful. Our host also took some money off our stay when she heard my parents had been unable to make the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, which was unexpected and ever so kind!

The hosts were very nice and they gave us all the instructions about the town and where to find everything we wanted, such as the restaurants and the bike rental. They served a very good breakfast, with options we could choose from. The view from the lodge and from the room was spectacular with Lake Te Anau and the mountains. Beautiful scenery!

First of all, the host was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained, WiFi was great, shower was one of the best we had in new Zealand so far. Lot's of parking nearby. Only few minutes drive to every spot in town. We also were able to leave our baggage for 3 nights while hiking the Milford. We highly recommend this place!
