Waterside Cottages & Villas - Self Catering is located on the banks of the Notwane River, a 14 km drive from Gaborone CBD. I was very impressed. Zero bureaucracy, respectful of my privacy, didn't have to make copies of my passport and credit card like I had to do at all 3 previous hotels I have visited in Africa (Nairobi, Lagos, and Johannesburg). There was an issue with the main property gate where a thunderstorm rendered it inoperable and they fixed it with little fuss. Overall very impressed.

The chalets were clean and neat as a pin. Establishment seems very new and fresh. We had such a happy stay:) The owner was so accommodating with our requests and we were made to feel at home by all the staff. We absolutely loved the river cruise! Tranquil and so peaceful:) I wish we could've stayed another day.
