The bed was super comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. But the best part was the hot tub – it was absolutely amazing to soak in it while the chilly air surrounded us. A truly unforgettable, serene getaway!

The beds were very comfortable, the house was warm and bright. The view from the big picture windows was excellent. We also enjoyed seeing the horses across the road and the tractors trundling around. The hot tub was also excellent, the instructions were very clear and it was easy to use. The only thing extra that would help is an estimate of how long the tub takes to fill, the first night we didn't start it filling until after dinner and it took too long to fill so we couldn't use it that night.

This recently renovated holiday home is located 34 km from Gullfoss Waterfall and 49 km from Thingvellir National Park. The property is non-smoking and is set 36 km from Ljosifoss. Cabin was compact, but the use of space was very efficient with lots of storage and all kitchen utensils. We were a family of 3 (including my 15 year old) and we were comfortable. The third bed is an adjustment, but we were all fine. On arrival, there was a special homemade Icelandic cake. The cake was excellent. Location, comfort, and value for money, I will rate the cabin high for each of these.
