Very calm and quiet place in Udawalawa. We loved the nature around. Many birds singing in the morning and everting. You could even see a monkey swinging on the nearby tree :) We were welcomed with a cold juice. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. The dinner was one of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. Delicious homemade rice & curry. The same thing for breakfast, really tasty. In our room we had a kettle, tea, coffee and a bottle of water. We were just passing through Udawalawa, but would definitely spend more time in Wild River Side if we could :) Thank you!

We stayed 2 nights in this village jungle oasis among coconut trees, at this super friendly family. Great location, a bit off the beaten path but very comfortable, great huge bed, no mosquitos. Super shower! Our hosts cooked great food for us, we got the best breakfast during our 3week stay in Sri Lanka. We also went on a super full day safari with Sujee, was a highlight of our trip, saw many elephants!

The views are breathtaking over the surrounding mountains, with a small river pond on the property to take a refreshing dip into (together with the small fish givning you a interesting fish spa experience). We just felt blessed staying in this tranquille environment, enjoying excellent food and just hanging out together. It was definitely more than worth the bumpy ride up to this place. Big thanks to Ishan with staff that made this an extraordinary experience.
