This place is absolutely magical! A HUGE THANK YOU to Ronaldo who is an absolute superstar and you can tell has a true passion for what he does. From the moment he picked us up, he made sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. He thought about our itinerary of activities, our meals, accommodates changes in our schedule and even liaised with the kitchen on providing lunch bags for our journey back. Wolwedans and the NamibRand Nature Reserve in general is an experience of a lifetime. The nature, the values of Wolwedans to the food, the night sky, the knowledge of each staff member. We even received a sweet letter and sparkling wine as it was our honeymoon. This place is a 10/10

Our stay at Hoodia Lodge was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a special place — peaceful, breathtaking, and full of heart. The scenery was so beautiful that the sundowner almost brought me to tears; it was one of those rare moments that truly stays with you.
The staff were exceptional — caring, attentive, and genuinely kind. You could feel that they truly wanted to make every moment perfect, and they did. Their warmth and thoughtfulness made us feel completely at home.
The trip to the dunes was an absolute highlight. Our guide, Paolo, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, which made the experience even more meaningful.
Everything about Hoodia Lodge felt deeply personal and special. It’s one of those rare places that touches your heart — a place I would return to in a heartbeat. It truly felt like home.
Sesriem
With Sesriem Canyon reachable in 46 km, Namib Outpost features accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. I don’t know where to start it was just amazing beeing welcomed to this place. Our room was beyond beautiful with an outdoor bed (they‘ll arrange sheets and everything if you tell the reception) a second terrace with sunloungers, outdoorshower and another balcony right in front of your bed. Interior is very spacious with gorgeous big windows, a big comfortable bed, lounge area with the most amazing view and a very big bathroom. Minibar and coffeestation are filled up so you can enjoy a drink right when you arrive. We had Zebras right in front of the lodge when we arrived. For sundowner you can choose to visit the upper deck (up a small hill), they‘ll arrange the drink you told them in advance and also very good tapas. Thanks a lot to Willie and the second waiter for arranging our drinks last minute and for racing up the hill with them and our tapas. :) After that head right to dinner, honestly the best dinner we had during our whole holiday. The steak was amazing, the starter and the amuse guele, the soup and the dessert. Lastly the whole staff really cares and seems to really enjoy beeing there and working together you can really feel the team spirit. Its about 40min drive to Sesriem Gate (they provide early breakfast with you want to leave before sunrise) for us that was totally fine. We arrived at the gate for sunrise and at Sossusvlei in time to walk up Big Daddy before the heat. Scenery and light is amazing at this time of the day. After running down the hill to Deadvlei we drove back to the Lodge to enjoy a beautiful afternoon and evening. Only downside that we just stayed 2 nights and couldn’t enjoy a whole day at the lodge. We‘ll come back, thanks again.

The Lodge was very spacious and luxurious! The pool area, offering a stunning view into the desert, was very nice. The dinner buffet was superb, featuring freshly grilled game. At lunch, oryxes walked past the lodge, adding a unique touch to our experience. The friendly staff, luxurious accommodations, and inviting atmosphere made our stay exceptional. We highly recommend this lodge. Its perfect location inside the park allows you to be among the first visitors to Sossusvlei in the morning. The chalets are stylish and very clean.
Lovely large chalet room with great mountain and wild life views. All staff really friendly and helpful. The lodge is about 45 minutes drive from Sesriem and the entrance to Sossusvlei. Breakfast buffet very good.
We loved the vibe at Desert quiver camp. We loved the design of the common area (pool and bar) built in front of the rocks in the middle of the desert. The cabins were spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed relaxing during the heat of the day by the pool and the bar, where you can also enjoy the sunset right in front of the pool. No food available at the lodge but you can order groceries to do your own barbecue or head to Sossuvlei lodge which is just 5 minutes drive away for excellent dinner buffets in their outdoor restaurant.
Nice place with own shower/toilet cabins. Very quiet. Camping guests welcome to use pool and lodge restaurant.
The perfect place to stay when visiting Sossusvlei. The cabins is stylist and nice, and the outdoor kitchen came in handy as we ordered dinner for the braai. Also the pool is a beautiful spot to relax and cool off after a hot day at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Hope to come back!
Everything was great. We were late to check in, but stuff of the hotel left us instructions how to get to our cabin. The cabin itself is very spacious with high ceilings. Food in nearby hotel was fresh and tasty and you can see some oryx and birds while eating outside. Stargazing was an additional free experience. Location is very close to Sossusvlei.
The hotel has spectacular view, chalets are stylish and very clean. The food is amazing and quite varied, considering the location in the middle of the desert. Special greetings to Steven, who is really helpful and cool guy :)
The chalets were located quite a distance away from the main building. The facilities were basic buy quite tastefully decorated. It was quite as the neighbours were quite a distance away. The views from the chalets were great if you love the large expense of land. Breakfast and dinner package were very good.
This was a groovy little hotel, really liked our cabin. It was quite large, the bed was comfy and the shower was huge. Really good location, right near the park gate. The staff was fantastic, helped us make all our reservations, even helped us with our itinerary for our days there (fixed our itinerary for us, should I say lol). There is also a pool and bar area to hang out at.
Stunning location and view. Many animals nearby the Lodge. Nice pool and wooden deck. Very beautiful and tastefully built and decorated chalets - those are exceptional! Very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide on game drive.
