The location was perfect, Amsterdam, The Hague, Kasteel de Haar, Keukenhof and Rotterdam all within 45 minutes drive (some less than 30 minutes away). We had lovely walks, beautiful views and all the comforts of home. A lot of thought has gone into the renovation of the lodge and it is the thoughtful little touches that really stood out (fresh flowers, a basket of groceries to get us going). Our hosts Willian and her husband were so sweet and friendly, it felt like they were our neighbors. They even provide 2 bicycles for guests to use, free of charge. The chalet itself is indeed small (ideal for 2 people, max 3) but very well stocked. We especially loved the fully furnished kitchen because we cooked our own meals a lot during our stay. The view from the porch is incredible, esp in the morning! A special highlight was being able to borrow their kayak. We hauled it to the river (just across the road) and had a relaxing evening paddle through the town, absolutely a must try!
