Loved our night in this log lodge - only let down was wishing we stayed longer to get more use from it. Such a unique and interesting property - very big and comfortable - would be great for a large group (almost too big for just 3 of us!) with a number of different living spaces. Loved all the different seating areas and nooks. Very much appreciated the fire running when we arrived. It did get quite cold overnight so would suggest keeping the fire running or using the heaters. The view in the morning and having a coffee out on the balcony was spectacular - as were the homemade crumpets and jam that we had for breakfast. It had everything you would need for a big group - ample crockery, cooking equipment and pantry staples. Definitely recommend stay here.

ASURE Cooks Gardens Motor Lodge features a garden setting, 600 metres from the CBD and Wanganui Opera House. It offers free on-site parking and unlimited free WiFi access. The most heartwarming and friendly host. The hostess gave us wise suggestions on sightseeing routes. The rooms are very spacious and clean, well equipped with air condition, comfy beds, convenient parking outside the door.

Braemar Motor Lodge offers self-catering accommodation just 300 metres from the shops and restaurants in Palmerston North city centre. All rooms include satellite TV and free, high-speed WiFi. We stayed 5 nights and would've liked to stay longer. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and roomy. There were 3 easy chairs plus a table and 2 dining chairs. Very quiet. We didnt hear anything from the road or other units Clean and bright laundry. $6 to use the machines, washing powder provided, and plenty of space on the outdoor clotheslines. We were given a very friendly welcome and farewell. Look forward to staying again at some stage.
