I was told that staying in a motel was an important part of the New Zealand travel experience and I'm so happy that I chose to stay in what definitely deserves to be rated as the best motel in NZ. Everything about the place was just perfect, from the incredibly friendly reception and helpful tips and recommendations to the beautiful, spotless room with every thing you could ever want or need. I actually was quite taken back by how well equipped the kitchen was with everything that one could ever want. Thank you for all of your kindness and a really lovely comfortable stay. I hope to return!

Cedar Grove Motor Lodge offers modern accommodation in the centre of Nelson. Rooms at Cedar Grove feature flat-screen TV’s with satellite channels. Guests can enjoy free unlimited WiFi and there is free on-site parking for cars. I arrived much later to check in than expected and they were incredibly accommodating and super friendly! When I finally arrived, she had closed curtains, heater was on and room was warm. Location was perfect! I will most definitely stay here again.

The spacious villa with a terrace and garden views features 6 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 6 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Guests can enjoy an ambient stay in their soundproof room with parquet floors and a fireplace. This villa is allergy-free and non-smoking. Can’t speak high enough about this place. A real find! Very clean, plenty of facilities, very spacious, friendly staff.
