The centrally located Pohutukawa Lodge is an 8-minute walk from Whangarei's town centre. It is 5 minutes' drive from Whangarei Events Centre and Toll Stadium (Semenoff Stadium). Whangarei Airport is a 15-minute drive away. We had a great stay. The apartment was very clean, equipped with everything we needed and is well situated in Whangerei. Check-In and Check-Out was easy and the staff is friendly and will help wherever it is needed.

Bay of Islands Airport is 36 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Everything. The house is stunning, the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and served on the veranda overlooking the bay. The gardens are lovely and it's an easy 10min stroll into town. The hosts Greg and Peter made us feel so welcome.

Guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. A great little gem of a motel in the region. Caring and attentive hosts, stunning views plus all that's in the room description. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.8 km from Mangawhai Heads Beach. Excellent location with views over Mangawhai. Host was lovely and very accommodating without being overly present. Little studio was beautifully presented and appointed. Brochures to assist with finding local walks etc. excellent location a short drive to the village. Clean and very modern but still homely and had the right kiwi Bach vibe we wanted. Thoroughly recommend.

Shipwreck Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge. This was our second stay in this lodge and for a very good reason. It has a very good vibe and is excellently managed and very clean.

Lodge Bordeaux features a heated outdoor pool, a barbecue pavilion and an in-room breakfast service. A 5-minute drive from Whangarei’s city centre, it offers free unlimited WiFi.
