Chris & Jared are up there with the best hosts I've come across. Both went over and above to help us organise our activities by advising walking routes, checking kayak availability and booking water taxis. We even got excellent tips from Chris on where to stop for sightseeing and food for the next part of our journey (St.Arnaud and the River Cafe were both excellent, thanks Chris !). Lovely, cosy chalet with beautiful views and ideal location to the beach and abel tasman track - highlight of our holiday so far !

There is also air-conditioning and a kitchen with a stovetop and oven in some of the chalets. There is an en suite with free toiletries in every chalet. Perfect spot to explore Abel Tasman! We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The room and bed were super comfortable. Everything was clean and welcoming. The room was equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast on the patio was great. We were able to do laundry while there, too, which was a nice bonus. The owner was a very nice lady, quite helpful. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again one day!

The rooms are very comfortable, the owners are very kind, the facilities are of high quality (over 300 DVDs, an arcade video game from the 90's, books and games), and the breakfast is excellent! Very well located also if you want to take a cruise from Kaiteriteri to hike in Abel Tasman National Park.

Boasting garden views, Tophouse Mountainview Cottages offers accommodation with balcony, around 34 km from Rainbow Valley. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the chalet free of charge. The property features a children's playground and outdoor furniture. The Tophouse was rather far away from other cities. Hence it was very peaceful. Also it offered the option for stargazing since there were no lights around.

We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

The apartment has a picnic area and a hot tub. It is a wonderful place, calm, among the nature… and the alpacas ! The house was absolutely lovely. Nat was very nice and helpful with many recommandations ! :)
