We visited Mường Dy Retreat from Hanoi for a night as we fancied some peace and tranquility, and this place delivered tenfold! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the surrounding countryside is simply stunning. Honestly, we've never seen so many different butterflies and dragonflies, could've just sat all day watching them 😍 Even better, there were 2 little black kittens there and I managed to have a cheeky cuddle with both of them 🤭 All of the staff did their absolute utmost to ensure we were fed and happy during our stay ❤️ the language barrier was not a problem at all thanks to interpreter apps on our phones, gotta love technology! They also arranged for a taxi back to Hanoi in 10 mins. I'll absolutely be recommending this place to anyone I know who'll be visiting Hanoi/Northern Vietnam in the future. Thank you so much!

There were no restaurants nearby that were open for business while we were there. Thankfully, we were able to eat lunch in Ao Vua itself, as there are a couple of restaurants along with several vendors selling snacks and drinks inside.
