We had a great time in Dubai, exploring the Downtown, the Marina, the Old Town, going for a bit of dune bashing, camping in the desert, enjoying an evening on a yacht, enjoying fine dining at the top of the Burj.... So many things to do including museums, malls, activities! We stayed for 8 days and will definitely return to the UAE soon. People were friendly and polite. It's a great place, but obviously this wasn't a cheap vacation!

I enjoyed Dubai Old City.

I enjoyed Dubai Old City. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping in that area. Al Karama is my favourite part of Dubai for South Indian food which I did have twice and enjoyed it. If you get a hang of how to use the Metro- it's easy enough and there are people at the metro stations to help get a ticekt(for a whole day) or a noi that can be topped up at the touch screen machines at stations. Be ready for waiting times at the airport - long immigration and taxi wait lines. I enjoyed Deira City Center (shopping mall) and Al Rigga street. Take Bolt but ask the dirver to be on time and not to take the longer route - you may be charged more. I was charged wait time altho I was right there. The driver showed late. Somehow for a 30 - 40 dirham ride I was charged 58! For me higher rates, even small ones, are unacceptable because they seem dishonest.

I love Dubai, this was a short visit to see my daughter and...

I love Dubai, this was a short visit to see my daughter and son-in-law who moved there 6 months ago. So many things to do, you will never be bored. Dubai has changed since my first vist 7 years ago, for the better. We packed so much in over the 4 days, desert safari, global village, boat trip, beach party and Topgolf. Metro sytem is very efficient and taxis are quite cheap.

Dubai is one of those places where your experience really depends on where you base yourself. We’ve been a few times now, and each trip we stay in a different area, which completely changes the vibe. Some neighbourhoods feel more beach-holiday, others more city-break, and others are all about nightlife and shopping. If you pick the right area for the kind of trip you want, Dubai can be amazing; if you don’t, it can feel like you’re constantly in taxis trying to reach the places you actually care about. For us, the beach club scene is a big part of why we keep going back. Our “must-do” favourites are COVEBEACH, DRIFT, and Summersalt; all three are consistently great for a day by the sea with good music, food, and atmosphere. CoveBeach is now in JBR at La Vie and is one of the liveliest, most iconic day-to-night spots. Drift is a more polished, adults-only luxury beach club at One&Only Royal Mirage, perfect if you want something calmer but still stylish. Summersalt at Jumeirah Al Naseem is another favourite, a bit more upscale and relaxed, with gorgeous views and a “treat yourself” feel. Overall, we enjoy Dubai more each time because we tailor the location to what we’re doing on that trip. If you plan around your priorities, beach days, clubs, malls, sightseeing, or nightlife, it’s brilliant, and bouncing between different areas on different visits keeps it feeling fresh.

A perfect place to take a refuge during a layover. The hotel is near to the Dubai International Airport (it literally takes about 8 mins to get to the departure). I guess that many guests use the hotel precisely for the same purpose - still, the hotel is very clean, comfortable, cosy - and much better and much cheaper than the hotel inside the airport.
