Meta is in a traditional small village high up in the mountains. The road itself on which you reach Gusmar is a miracle - beautiful valleys, high rocky peaks, marvellous waterfalls, good quality asphalt and exciting hairpins. Villa Meta has its own garden offering great privacy , possibility to chill, relax and enjoy the view of surrounding mountain scenery. The place is very remote, only a few families live in the area - who are very friendly by the way - which gives you a feeling that you are out of the fast paced daily civilization rush and offers you perfect opportunity for a peaceful rest. The Nivice Canyon near Gusmar is a must to visit. The Uspoiled nature, the force of water and erosion made stunning rock creations, super high stone walls, breath taking waterfalls and Crystal clear mini lakes in which you can have a baths. The whole place is so beautiful and untouched that you only see such in the movies. We have spent two days in Nivice Canyon with family and dog, then spent an other two days visiting the Seaside near Borsh which is a 40 mins drive from Villa Meta. The road offers brilliant views, the Ionian sea is very clear, the shore is sandy or covered with small white oval rock pieces like the ones you see in Kneipp spas. To this holiday we took our Mountain Bikes with us and rode an other two days in the region on rocky singletracks, alpine roads and western-like highlands. Alltogether we stayed 6 nights in Villa Meta - which offered generous space in and outside (we were 3 plus a dog), quality furniture, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, not very fast but liveable internet & wifi. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, showed us around in the area and adviced which places to visit, how and when. They provided tons of food, home - made milk and cheese, home grown fruit and vegetables. They live in a city nearby and brought an other ton of food in the middle of the week in case we may starve🫣😊.

This is a very new hotel which is still in the process of being finished. it was in a convenient location for us as we were cycling through the mountains and needed a place to stop. The room was really comfortable and clean and we particularly loved the bathroom. The windows were really sound proofed. The staff were very polite and helpful, particularly the young woman who was working when we visited - she made a lot of effort to communicate with us as we don’t speak Albanian.

Mikpritje e bujari me 10 yje. Peisazhi nga veranda, nje mrekulli. Ushqimi, bio dhe plot shije. Cdo gje e thjeshte dhe perfekte, njekohesisht. Lokacioni shume prane Ujevares se Peshtures dhe afer cdo atraksioni tjeter te zones :) Rruga te ofron kartolina nga me te bukura te natyres. Njerezit e mire te bujtines presin miqte, ashtu si e do zakoni i krahines :)

Absolutely wonderful stay ! Stunning views from room! Enjoyed sunsets from balcony! Room was very comfortable. We enjoyed location being up on hill with the spectacular views because we had a car to get around...might be trickier without a car. The restaurant attached eith hotel is amazing! We ate every dinner here! Food is great and has a very beautiful setting. Has a nice vibe and staff are very kind. Breakfast was HUGE! I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!!

New Hotel , opened a month ago , fresh & nicely furnished. Family owned , friendly & caring, helped with boat tour and walked us to the boat Hotel is close to the beach Umbrellas and comfortable beach chairs available for small cost , closest beach is the main one with the board walk and restaurants . We stayed another night because we liked the hotel . Onsite parking convenient as this area of Himarë is not easy parking

Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. Enough free parking space. Breakfast, size of room etc. all is more then expected

I loved the view of course but the owner, Artemis, was my favorite part of the stay (which is saying a lot because everything was truly wonderful). She instantly made me feel like family, always providing quick answers to questions and incredible restaurant recommendations, and teaching us about her family and the history of Himare. She is such a special person and this place emanates that same special quality. Don’t hesitate to book this place, it was our favorite hotel experience of our five week trip through four countries. I am SO particular and literally have zero notes or complaints. Thank you Arti and your baba for building/transforming this into such an incredible space!

Oh what a beautiful hotel run by a gorgeous family that do all they can to make it a sensational stay! Our room had a superb view of Himare bay. It made everything worthwhile. The bath overlooking the bay was a really gorgeous touch, enabling us to relax in it as the sun set, reflecting off the mountains and sea. Bathrobes and slippers were welcome. The shower was beautiful and powerful. The bed was so comfortable that it influenced us to change our own mattress at home! The balcony had a relaxing hanging swing chair which was pure heaven. There were also seats and a table. It came as a shock that breakfast was not included, because the wording appeared as though it had been included. However, the family chose not to charge us. Seriously, I'd have paid for that breakfast. It was fresh, piping hot and delicious! The fruit was delicious too. Everything was perfect. We ate there one evening, but didn't realise we'd need to order sides to fill up our appetites. We parked at the side of the hotel to drop luggage off and check in, then again to collect. The car was then left across the lane in a large car park. We could see it from our room, if we leaned forwards. There is a corkscrew in the room, but I missed this and restaurant staff uncorked my wine as well as provided ice in a bucket. This hotel is at the far end of the bay. It is lovely and quiet. You have less than a minute's walk the beach. It is literally there! Watch out for people charging €20 for rubbish loungers. Keep going around the bay and you'll find lovely memory foam loungers. Some paid €10, some €20 for 2 loungers and an umbrella in mid September. The staff are so friendly and sweet. They made us feel very welcome. We were given a lovely gift of home pressed olive oil to take home as we checked out! Until next time, I'll be dreaming of returning to this piece of heaven. Very highly recommended!
