⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stayed in a suite at Forest Park Hotel and had a truly memorable experience. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views of the surrounding forest. The hot tub in the bathroom was a delightful touch, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The peaceful atmosphere made it an ideal retreat. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. And the breakfast? Simply amazing — fresh, varied, and delicious, setting the perfect tone for the day. Nearby are Kruja Castle, a historic fortress offering panoramic views and a glimpse into Albania’s rich past, and the Kruja Bazaar, a charming spot filled with traditional shops selling handcrafted goods and local treats. It was a wonderful blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. Highly recommended!

The Castle Museum and Ethnographic Museum are must-visits, there’s so much history to discover. Rain or shine, it’s worth exploring, and on clear days, head up to the shrine on the hills for a stunning view over the entire Krujë valley.

Kruje is charming and small.

Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. You could stay longer if you are planning to do hikes in the area which we didn't have time for. It is a charming small town with great views and a nice bazaar.

Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

Lovely and clean place.

Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!

I love the peaceful layout of the castle area and recommend the Ethnographic museum showing the way people lived from medieval times. The hiking trail up Kruje mountain was steep but there was a good zigzag track, and spectacular views. There is an interesting site at the top with lighted caves and a shrine to a Bektashi hero. This can also be reached by car along the mountain road. I liked to eat at the Horizont cafe on the mountain road with wonderful views of sunset over the sea.

Best location, right at the foot of the old bazar and only 5min away from the Castle. The Kruje mountain trail also Starts close to the hotel. The pool is amazing as is the rooftop hotel. The breakfast was a buffet of good Quality and the restaurant for dinner (on-site) is rated ze the best in Kruje. The covered parking is a plus as well. RWe stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay.

I mean we had a pretty balcony with flowers looking right at the castle and the Bazar with nothing blocking the view. I didn't see a better hotel for that. Nothing was missing, everything clean and comfortable. Good showers. Spacious room. Very friendly owner!
