Berat is a must on a road trip in Albania. Luckily we choose to stay in the most beautiful, newly renovated guesthouse inside the castle above the city. Free parking is right inside the castle walls 1 minut from this lokal family, who are so friendly, easy to communicate with and welcoming. Aesthetic room with a view, a good bed, private bathroom. All very clean. We had dinner at arrival on the terrace with a stunning view - and we just loved the homemade food (and Raki). Breakfast was a pleasure as well. Without doubt we will come back if ever in Berat again. All the best - Carsten and Marlene
