Owner Nelli and her staff were so welcoming! We had a fantastic dinner. If you are unsure what to order just tell them how hungry you are and you will get a choice of superb Armenian dishes. Rooms have a stunning view either on the canyon or the monastery. Very clean, good heating.

Very welcoming, helpful and kind host! We stayed at Haghpat Hotel four nights and felt comfortable from the very beginning. They serve local Armenian food, which we enjoyed a lot! Healthy, organic, very tasty and full of surprise. The hotel is located next to the world famous monastry in the main square of the village. It’s busy and sometimes a bit noisy, but you are part of the village life.

The village is interesting for its ancient monastery and the Mikoyan Museum, but the main attraction is the trekking routes around it. It's worth reaching the neighboring Haghpat Monastery and also hiking the trail at the top of the Debed Gorge; both routes start literally from the hotel's door.
