This place really exceeded our expectations and it has been the perfect place to spend the winter holidays where we had a really restful stay. The location is very quiet, calm with a really nice view where you can relax for real. The rooms are cozy, super clean and the beds really comfortable. Also we had a lot of great amenities like pool table, ping-pong table, foosball, and sauna. The food buffet served in the restaurant was super tasty with enough variety for both breakfast and dinner. Many thanks to the whole staff, they have been super kind, helpful, perfectly speaking english and took care that we didn't miss anything. Also the party they organized for New Year was awesome, starting with the festive dinner, punch drinks around a bonfire, fire-torch hike, fire-works, goulash soup, and a late breakfast ... now that I recall all of these it has been really amazing :).

The reception staff was very welcoming, with a smile and a lot of patience, they explained carefully how everything works in the hotel from the garage to the breakfast and the SPA. The room was spacious, with all amenities you may need and extremely clean. The cleaning ladies, very lovely greet you with a smile and are all over cleaning all day, impressive. The SPA was wonderful, starting from the pool area to the sauna and steam bath, everything was perfect! I will for sure turn back again there.

The appartments are new and very nicely done, with everything you need. The area is silent, but very close to the both beautiful Grundlsee and Altaussee. You will have a view towards the Loser mountain. The owners are very nice! The welcome bottle of Wine and Olive oil from Croatia are just signs they want you to enjoy your stay ad much a possible.

Very beautiful place to spend a few days or even more than a week. Plenty things to do - hiking, spa relax, good restaurants, beautiful sceneries. In Bad Aussee there are several places to eat or buy groceries. Whithin a few minutes you reach a lake to swim or a beginning of a hiking path. Good position for visiting Hallstadt, Bad Ischl or Salzburg. If you want to have dinner in a restaurant it is good to make a reservation otherwise you may have a problem to get seats.

Bad Aussee is great location. Surrounded by the mountains. We made lots of nice trips to the great tourist attractions ( lakes, sightseeing points) . We visited Wolfgangsee lake and atter see Lake which were absolutely amazing. Only the downside of it was the parking in the city.

Bad Aussee is a very good area for cross country skiing in the winter, and also for mountain biking in the summer. The Narzissentherme resort is also very nice. Bad Aussee is also near the Loser Ski area (15 minutes by car).

The kitsch associated with Alpine tourism is kept to a minimum here, and the people are friendly but unobtrusive. The landscape is wonderful, and those who enjoy hiking can do so to their heart's content. There are also nice shops if you want to do some shopping.

Bad Aussee is a very nice place with many traditional shops for clothing - traditional costumes, dirndls, etc. It is really better to arrive by train because there is no space for parking the car anyway.

In Bad Aussee, guests feel truly welcome. Every effort is made to fulfill the wishes of guests/visitors in a friendly manner. We were there on holiday during peak season, and everywhere we went, even when the hotel was full, we were greeted and served warmly.

We stayed in Schmiedgut in June 2025 and were very satisfied. Our apartment was very clean, spacious and well taken care of. Garden with a pond was super beautifull and created a relaxing athmosphere. Sauna was perfect and it was always heated up according to our request. We can warmly recommend Schmiedgut.

Almost everything was really nice with the place. It is at a superb location, between the mountains with beautiful views. The rooms were specious, comfortable and clean. We were 4 adults with a kid and there were plenty of space to relax. We really had nice time there.
