Hotel has great location. Hosts and all the staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Cleanliness is spotless. Rooms are big, beds are comfy. Breakfast is more than sufficient. Even if you like to spend day or two not skiing you have options: Therme (10 min), walk in the nature, easy trip to Salzburg (train station 15 min away).

Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy...

Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.

This is our second visit in two years, so we love this beautiful scenic town with hiking trails you can walk to from the centre. The air is so fresh, which was why we came here to escape the oppressive hot summer air of Vienna. If you can rent an apartment with a kitchen, there is also a great (huge!) InterSpar supermarket near the train station - just factor in walking up and down the steep hills!

Beautiful small city that has everything you need. In the centre you can find all in the area, you can go on foot. There is beautiful fall in the centre. A lot of great food. Good connections with buses and trains to sorounding citys.

Skiing in Graukougel is a must.

Skiing in Graukougel is a must. Fine dining at Bertahof, just north of Bad Gastin, is strongly recommended, fantastic Austrian food experience. Table reservation is needed. Eat at Schmaranz in Bad Hofgastein, everything localy produced at the farm. You'll eat by the open fire where the food is cooked. A place for meat lovers.

Awesome property with amazing service. Staff is doing their extra mile to ensure the guest stay in the highest level, from welcoming till saying goodbye. Cleanliness 10/10, breakfast team, food in restaurant is worth around least Michelin recommendation. Bedding is perfect, sleep with waterfall sounds and views are far beyond expectations. Special thanks to Spa lady. Our stay is definitely too short, Bad Gastein has to offer and Straubinger team is well trained and hospitable to assist in this. Highly recommended!

Modern and very well kept hotel. Had the feel of a high end hotel, very clean and with good facilities. Nice small bar and with very friendly bar staff. Good local weissbier served via bottle (DIE WEISSE). Plenty of parking for guests. Bad Gastein itself is a really interesting resort. The village is built at the top of a gorge with buildings around the edge and a large waterfall in the village. Plenty of nice dining options, and some good apres ski bars.

It was in the centre of everything that we needed (main ski lift, big shop nearby, restaurants & bars nearby). It was nice and quiet even though we were around the corner from the action. The apartment was warm and comfortable, perfect for a couple. Bad Gastein offered a great ski area.

The location is excellent for the ski centre at Bad Gastein. A nice heated area for your boots and skis at the rear. Right across from the railway station and beside the spa. Room was clean and spacious and a nice balcony. Staff friendly and left luggage available too.
