Although we typically only stay at brand hotels, this was a very positive exception! The owner was super kind and helpful-was expecting us. Service was great! The town was great! And the owner’s recommendation for dinner… was the best meal we’ve had on our trip! Go to Weinstube Spies for the best meal and desert and service!

Big roomes. Quite location for good sleep. There is a sport centre near the hotel and tenis court, also small atletics training place near by in the woods. You have a fitness room and sauna. Excellent location, cannot be better. The apartment has everything you might need, SPAR supermarket really just a few steps away. La Sonett brasserie is super good. Gmunden is really amazing place and to stay in La Sonett gives you the best comfort and best location for any activities. Highly recommended.

Philipp was a very kind host. The apartment was cozy and comfortable. For four people there was enough of everything. From the apartment there is a nice view at the Marktplatz square. It is also very quiet and calm. The surroundings is really nice.

    I love the little town. Lovely square. Nice walk around the like. If you love hiking the place to visit. So much to do. Easy access. People were very nice and helpful. I didn't have a great weather but as they say it's not bad weather but wrong clothes 😆.

    It’s a lovely town with access to the lake and a local rail/tram network. Various cultural activities and we timed it nicely for the annual ceramics fair. We used it as a base from which to travel to visit friends locally but it was relaxing and a lovely stay.

    Gmunden is an amazing undiscovered place which deserves a larger tourist crowd than it currently has. It is the best place to stay in Salzkammergut as it allows easy access to all attractions in the region, but still this is a town and not a village.

    Pretty little town on the lake, with a couple of excellent restaurants nearby serving local cuisine mostly. Lots to see, lovely walks, hikes and drives. One glaring problem they need to address ASAP. Gmunden lacks a decent 4/5 star hotel. There are a couple which are adequate 3 stars.

    Quaint lake town. Highly recommend a short overnight trip. Enjoy dinner at Hackall restaurant. Amazing pizza. But make reservations. Take an electric boat for an affordable lake experience. Apartment accommodations were great

    Very nice city with a breathtaking view with a castle on the lake and high hills covered in clouds. The lake is crystal clear, so perfect for swimming, or sailing. There are ferrys that can take you to other parts of the lake. Just an absolutely gorgeous and clean city with very welcoming people. Many art galleries and all sorts of exhibitions. We also reccomend Hotel Zum Goldenen Hirschen in the city centre with a luxury design and very nice staff.

    Comfortable, huge and very clean, cosy apartment with extra equipment, situated in the centre of Gmunden. Barbara was really friendly and helpful. There were some chilren's game, potty and welcome sweets and coffee capsules, toothbrush with toothpaste as well.

    Charming classic hotel in an excellent lakeside position. The superior room had a lovely view and a small balcony. The restaurant was very good. Worth staying in. And we were lucky enough to get one of the few parks in the hotel parking space. Recommended
