The place is amazing! The personnel was very nice. We arrived a bit late just in time to eat at the restaurant. The meals were good! The food is rich, so maybe more suitable for winter, but we were very happy with the taste events if we couldn't finish everything :) The breakfast was good too. In the room we had towels, little snacks, soap and small shampoo bottle waiting for us. And amazing view from the room. If we come back in the area we will definitely stay at Pension Gemshorn again!

Overall the hotel was ok, my major disappointment was spa area accessibility restrictions…. unless we go naked, we were not allowed to use it. It is not very guest friendly attitude, considering that I as a guest have paid for spa area as well…. I definitely would have chosen a different place to stay

The location of the apartment was perfect for the gondola at gerlos. I also think there are free buses to get to other resorts in the valley. The apartment was very well set up and comfortable and it was nice that there were some basic things in the cupboard etc The host was also very friendly. There wasn’t anything that we particularly didn’t like! It was also very good value for money although we stayed in low season.

It's located high up.

It's located high up. There are at least six or seven hairpin bends. The last ski bus leaves Zell am Ziller at 5:05 PM. That's quite early if you want to enjoy the après-ski. In other weather conditions, driving up the mountain isn't easy.

We haven't been to the village center, but it's probably a...

We haven't been to the village center, but it's probably a great place for a walk in the summer, with beautiful views. The two winters we were there, the famous toboggan run was closed. Snow is definitely not guaranteed in Hainzenberg. However, for families like us looking for an affordable ski holiday near Gerlos, Hainzenberg is ideal. It's just a fifteen-minute drive.

A very peaceful spot on the hillside above the village of Zell am Ziller, centrally located in the Zillertal valley. A good starting point for exploring the valley. Zell am Ziller – the village with all amenities, supermarkets, and restaurants – is a 5-minute drive away.

A quiet village in a tourist area with good public transport...

A quiet village in a tourist area with good public transport. At the beginning of July there are still quite a few tourists here, which was great. There are several ski resorts within driving distance (actually, wherever you look, there is a ski slope) and many hiking trails (from easy to very difficult). In bad weather, there are also several attractions under the roof.

We came late in the evening (10pm) and were welcomed by the hotel owner patiently waiting for us. Him and his wife were very nice and caring people, available for our every needs. The scenery is breathtaking, the Zillertal Valley is such a remarkable place.
