The hotel was warm and cosy. It had a great play area for the kids outside and also a playroom inside that they just loved. The room was very spacious and had lovely large windows. The bus stops near by and takes you into the middle of Salzburg. It was very convenient. Breakfast was superb! It made every morning a great morning. The staff were so very friendly and we felt right at home here. The kids didn’t want to leave and are already asking when we will be coming back. We will be planning a return visit again! Thank you so much for having us in your lovely little hotel.

We loved everything about Gasthof Maria Plain! We had no idea where it was located in relationship to Salzburg, but we had admired the church from the road as we came in. Imagine our surprise when we saw we were going up that hill towards the church. Parking was easy & convenient. The second surprise is that the hotel had its own charming Christmas market. The rooms were clean & comfortable, & every room had a breathtaking view. The fact that we arrived after a big snow storm just added to the beauty. It was a short & inexpensive cab ride to central Salzburg. The restaurant had a good menu, great food & reasonable prices. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We will be back next spring!
