The accommodation had everything we needed and even more, nothing to complain about. Even our dog was super comfortable there. The environment around the house was beautiful and calm. The host was helpful and very kind. We recommend!

I really liked the friendly staff, which was mostly Czech speaking, so it was a huge benefit for us. The hotel was very cozy and clean. In fact, we had only a double room, so we didn't expect any large space, where you could park your own Jumbo jet, and the hotel met our expectations. :D But we definitely couldn't complain about the space at all.

Everything about Hotel Refugium was exceptional, from the moment I arrived tired from long travels and was immediately offered a cold drink. The room was spacious and well laid out. The view from the balcony over the river and the mountains was very relaxing. Breakfast was great with fresh squeezed orange juice and local foods. This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at.

We planned a weekend getaway with friends.

We planned a weekend getaway with friends. It was a perfect central location. We visited the Mendlingtal nature trail, then rafted on the Salza River and the next day we visited the Wasserlocklamm waterfall gorge. On the way home we stopped at Lunzer See to refresh ourselves. I think it's the perfect place for a weekend of hiking and relaxation. :)

There's plenty to do from Lassing.

There's plenty to do from Lassing. Besides hiking (the Wasserlochklamm gorge is highly recommended), you can go rafting in Palfau, and the river swimming areas along the Ybbs are also nearby (Göstling, Hollenstein, for example). The Mendlingtal valley and the Hochkar mountain are also very close. However, you'll need a car... For rainy days, and not only then, Admont Abbey is a good option.
