The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, rooms were stylish and comfortable (what a view from the window, too!), and food was delicious. And the accordion and singing during the dinner was a cherry on top. Truly great experience and I hope to have a chance to come back!

The trip exceeded our expectations.

The trip exceeded our expectations. Everything was very pleasant, from the leisure activities (winter sports like ski touring, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing, ski rental) to the accommodation. Highly recommended. Plus, the area isn't too crowded.

In August, you can participate in the Mills' Food Festival and visit the sanctuary, a pilgrimage site from all over Europe. There are trails leading to the mills in the area, and during the Mills' Festival, you can purchase freshly ground flour. The locals are courteous and friendly.

A lovely, peaceful place.

A lovely, peaceful place. In summer, the air is filled with the distinctive scent of hay. The locals are very friendly. The farm shop below the basilica and monastery is well worth a visit! They sell the famous, delicious farmhouse bread and other treats. Also worth exploring is the mill trail. There's an interesting guided tour every Friday.

Maria Luggau is nestled deep in the Lesachtal valley.

Maria Luggau is nestled deep in the Lesachtal valley. Several hiking trails are available right from the hotel. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. Lienz is not far as the crow flies, but it takes about 50 minutes by car. You can also take the bus, which stops near the Paternwirt hotel.

The location of the hotel is amazing, so quiet and beautiful in the mountains. The rooms are clean and cosy. And when you walk in the little village you already come across so many beautiful things. Highly recommended for hiking or motorcycle holidays!

Lovely hotel in the mountains. Good acces and easy parking. Dogs allowed. Very friendly staff, comfortable beds and good breakfast. They serve dinner as well, which was very nice and good food.
