If I could, I would rate my stay 20 out of 10 ! This is by far one of my best stay experience in Europe I have ever had! Let’s start with the host, Angela. A very kind and helpful person. She defined what amazing hospitality should be. She was there when there is any assistance needed with genuine advices about local life and how your stay could be much more fun and enjoyable! Special thanks to her for helping me with late check in after my train got delayed. The villa is a piece of art with amazing alpine design and furniture. Very clean and amazing location with Mountain View. The room is a very cozy, clean and comfy. It has everything you need to have an amazing stay. The breakfast is amazing with variety of options you can think of and added to that the best hospitality. Definitely, I will be back again to Mayrhofen and will stay in this accommodation.

Our stay at the Glück Auf was simply fantastic. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the facilities are top notch, and the location is perfect. Breakfast was beautifully presented, and it’s a very short walk to the Hauptstraße with many great restaurants. We plan on returning to this property!

    The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years.

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years. On top of the magnificent views and mountains, I always recommend it particularly on the size of the town. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and hotels in the centre, which give plenty of options if you ever should get a bad weather day. If you are there for a few days, the Active Card is well worth getting. It includes all lifts, train and buses in the valley, so you can get about easily, trying other towns in the valley, without thinking of additional cost.

    The ski area has a good range of slopes for novice/intermediates. If you are a total beginner there are better areas to start your skiing adventures. The best slopes in our opinion are a few runs and ski lifts away from the ascent via the Penkenbahn but are so worth it. Ahorn is good for an easy accessible confidence boost run or 2 and has some fun areas for the children. Hintertux glacier is a good day out and free bus available but can be super busy. We flew in to Innsbruck and then took the train to Mayrhofen for the first time and it was super easy and good value.

    This was my 3rd visit to Mayrhofen over the last 20 years...

    This was my 3rd visit to Mayrhofen over the last 20 years and it has grown and the lift access has improved vastly. Had a very relaxing holiday and there are plenty shops and cafes/restaurants to choose from in the evening. There is a Deli across from the Penkan lift that does the most delicious smoked ham sandwich, you know it is good when you see the lines of people there in the evening.

    I've been coming to Mayrhofen for 40 years, both summer and winter. Winter, as much for walking as I have for ski-ing. I've tried other Austrian towns over the years, but this place just hits the spot for a holiday. The town is deceptively large, enabling you to find places to go on a rainy day, but still retains that cosy feel with excellent coffee stops and restaurants. Excellent linked public transport, which allows many adventures. I still haven't travelled along all the side valleys. Views from the top, are simply stunning.

    Hotel was excellent, room was large enough and clean. Shower was hot even if it took a minute to get hot. Bed was very comfy and the staff were friendly. Hotel bar & restaurant was very good, at least for the two nights we eat there. We would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay for skiing or I can imagine in summer for hiking.

    Superb location close to Bahnhof with ski bus stop close by and short walk into town. Hotel has clearly been extensively refurbished pretty recently to a high standard so everything was in really good condition and immaculately clean. Excellent and extensive buffet breakfast with hot items available cooked to order. Owners and staff all very helpful and friendly.

    The hotel is very close to the center and to the gondolas. The receptionist is very polite and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Cleaning is top. Breakfast is of good quality,not enormous but everything you ll need. Saunas are modern and there is a nice relaxation space. There are safe rooms to store ski equipment.

    The accommodation is conveniently located, the ski bus stops right in front of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. The spa was well-equipped and very relaxing. Great value for money, I would choose this hotel for my next ski vacation.
