There is literally nothing to dislike. Fabulously managed. Super-welcoming people. Warm atmosphere. Everything 100% functional. Excellent food and breakfast. Large private parking. Hotel located close to highway in a very quiet area absolutely worth discovering. Bottom line, probably the best “value for money” ever encountered. Congratulations to the Team! The hotel is on the edge of a lake, we got a pampering room with a view of the lake and amazing views. The breakfast is amazing. We also ate dinner at the hotel, which was prepared from local ingredients and was delicious and amazing. The staff is very helpful and gave the feeling of just giving :-). It definitely made us want to go back there and we will.

Our stay at Erlachmühle in early October was truly enchanting. The rooms provided a remarkable experience, being notably clean, well-organized, and welcoming, suggesting recent renovation. This property, with deep roots in tradition, has remained in the same family for at least three generations. Additionally, the adjacent building owned by the same family houses one of the few remaining operational mills in the region, with records dating back to 1416. The emphasis on regional production and the organic quality of the food offered at the hotel is noteworthy, ensuring an exceptionally tasty gastronomic experience. The breakfast deserves special mention, featuring a variety of traditional breads, smoked fish, regional charcuterie, and cheeses that celebrate the local culinary richness. The attention and joy displayed by the owning family and the entire staff made our stay even more enjoyable. It was a true pleasure to meet them. Furthermore, it's important to highlight that the hotel offers on-site parking at no additional cost. The journey to the establishment is an experience in itself, with winding curves unfolding amid a stunning landscape. This natural beauty can be easily appreciated from the guest room windows and the open area near the breakfast room. The property's location is strategic, with nearby amenities such as a Billa supermarket just a 4-minute drive away, McDonald's a 3-minute drive away, and a gas station a 3-minute drive away. Additionally, the center of Mondsee is only a 6-minute drive away. Despite this convenient proximity, the hotel manages to provide a tranquil, private atmosphere and an exceptional connection with nature. In summary, Erlachmühle is an excellent place to enjoy a revitalizing weekend or as a starting point for exploring the region, which is filled with stunning lakes and spectacular mountain landscapes.

    Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.

    Mondsee is a very beautiful town.

    Mondsee is a very beautiful town. It’s located by a lake and offers stunning views. The town’s church is gorgeous. I had the best meat I’ve ever eaten in my life there. If you have the chance, don’t miss visiting Restaurant Tauris Steaks & More.

    Off season Mondsee looks like a huge house for elderly. Almost everything was closed, apart from a few restaurants in the middle of the city. Everything on the beach is closed from january to february.

    Amazing location, beautiful nature, gorgeous lake and the mountains offered perfect walking tours. Local people were nice too :) The centre of the city is small and pretty, many pubs with great wine and food. The location as well as the nature were well taken care off and clean. Totally worth visiting: Observation tower Kulmspitz We will for sure come back to explore more.

    We were before Christmas, and at this time it is definitely worth going to this city for half a day! The center is small, but very nice, there is a small Christmas market, mostly with food, a very beautiful Basilica, and of course, the lake itself deserves a walk to it. After a two-hour walk, a good lunch at a local cafe or right at the market, and here is the minimum plan completed! In the summer, for sure, the program will be different.

Although our stay was brief, the establishment exudes a tranquil and relaxing ambiance. The hosts were exceptionally hospitable and welcoming. Additionally, our room was very clean and spacious, and we enjoyed a fantastic view from the balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to extending our stay on our next visit.

    The Mondsee is one of my favorite stopover places between Switzerland and Hungary. The rooms are spacious, the view is stunning, the restaurant and the food choice is great, the staff is friendly and helpful. I am happy that I can stay at one of the LandZeit hotels on my way back, as well.
