Rietz seemed a genuine alpine village with painted houses and cows (complete with cowbells) in the fields nearby. I am not sure what to do in the area but I did not try to find out so I just may not know. The surroundings was not that spectacular but it is not promised. We stopped there to rest overnight on our long drive. The check-in was easy, instructions were clear. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and separate toilet and bathroom.
