The room is so big and tidy. The view outside the terrace is beautiful 😍 We can see lots of stars at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to Gosausee and Hallstatt. I enjoyed so much and i would definitely check in again next time.

Fantastic hotel, loved our stay at Vitalhotel Gosau. Comfy beds, spacious room with balcony and lovely towels and bath robes. They offer a summer card which entitles for a lot of reduced fare activities. The staff were extremely nice and willing to help. The room was tidied up every day. I strongly recommend Vitalhotel to anyone who's searching for quality time and peace of mind.

Recommendation: For kids - Geister Wald (Ghost forest) - 4,5km long hike with fun activities for kids. Our kids loved them. Just to be aware - you need to pick up from the info center a map where kids could get stamps and also you need 2euro coin to get a wooden ball from the machine you can find just at the start of the hike. Small store - very helpful staff, all the basics you need you find there Waterpark - great nature pool to chill with kids

This is lovely village in both winter and summer.

This is lovely village in both winter and summer. Beautifully unspoilt by no big touring companies taking over, and the tourist accomodation is predominantly private. It has its own lift into the Dachstein West area, and in the summer there are a multitude of hiking paths to follow.

Little village with only few little shops, neareast...

Little village with only few little shops, neareast supermarket 6km away in Gosau. Crosscountry slopes not in site, you have to get to Gosau or Abtenau (12km away). Good site for downhill skiing and for summer hiking.

Russbach is a great starting point for excursions.

Russbach is a great starting point for excursions. There was a small outdoor swimming pool within walking distance in the village, which we really appreciated. We also experienced the annual brass band festival – a wonderful memory.

We have traveled a lot in Austria during the summer and been to many different villages. We will not return to this one - too far away, no service, not the charm that many other parts of Austria have. Anonymous in a way but that's what happens when you book late... There was a good restaurant a couple of streets behind the main street though!

A very beautiful, small town with a charming appearance and a peaceful location. It offers a pleasant atmosphere for living or relaxing. The excellent transport connections are particularly noteworthy: whether by car or bus, numerous destinations can be reached easily and conveniently from here. Private, roomy and clean. This appartment occupies the whole floor. Each bedroom has can host 4 people. Kitchen has coffie machine(filtered), kettel, ceramic cooker and dishwasher. Located just outside of the town center on the hill. Close to Hallstatt and Gosao where we had really nice hikes. Host is very attentive and helpful. She could give you all the information you want around this area. She even washed our dirty clothes. Bonus: dog is welcome in the hotel and good wifi.

The room is clean, and even though not spacious, it is practical and well equipped. The hotel had a personal touch with reserved breakfast table and hand written goodbye letter. There are gluten free options for breakfast. There is also a great restaurant that belongs to the hotel about 200m from the hotel called Restaurant Weinstube.

The location was fine in terms of its distance from Hallstatt. There are also good restaurants within walking distance, apart from the hotel's restaurant (note: the hotel restaurant closes at 7pm, in the peak of summer). Parking is also available and convenient. The hotel staff member we spoke to was very friendly and professional.
