We stayed in Stams on our way from Munich to Innsbruck, and it was an ideal stop for our young family. The property was clean, cozy, and very well set up for children — there were plenty of toys, which our kids absolutely loved. The owner was very kind and even called to make sure everything was okay when we arrived, which made us feel really welcomed. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we had a comfortable, relaxing stay. Highly recommended for families!

The hotel has a personality originating from a 17th-century hunting lodge. Many additions and modernisations were made, like a new sauna or bar downstairs and a warm central fireplace in the hall. Most of the hotel only operates during the skiing season. It seems like a miracle that they can retain and motivate their staff for only a couple of months of the year. The receptionist and the general manager, who makes his rounds to all breakfast tables daily, were extremely friendly, as is most of the service staff. Some staff don't speak English or German, and misunderstandings can arise. Nevertheless, 90% of the team was super helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is enormous and did not get boring during an eight-day stay.

Loved our stay at the Alpenrose. Room was large, bed was comfortable, breakfast and dinner buffets were very good, with daily changes to menu. But the best thing was the amazing staff. From the front desk, to serving staff, cleaners, bar staff, sauna massage staff, everyone was very professional, helpful and friendly. No question was too hard and went out of their way to provide assistance. Will definitely stay here again next time in Austria.

We were, in fact, the only guests on the night. We were welcomed like we old friends. Although the restaurant was closed on the night we arrived, Veronica told us about a lovely Pizzaria in Town which was fantastic. A special hotel in our eyes and we will stay again when in the area.
