A very peaceful and quite place. The location is fantastic, the view... is so calm and amazing, the fresh air, the room is clean and has a comfortable bed. They have a delicious breakfast, and the host asked how would our the eggs would like us to have, (ie. scrambled, fried or boiled) which was a good options. They are so friendly and accommodating people. You must not missed their Menu for lunch and dinner, superb delicious.

Don't get discouraged by the location. It's not in reasonable walking distance from the slopes, but around 25 meters from the hotel, there is a bus stop for ski buses operated by the ski resort with interval of 20 minutes for each direction all day and on the top of that the hotel operates it's own transportation in morning peaks. I never needed to use my car. The single room is not very large, but really cozy. It's possible to choose soft or hard mattress and thick or thin cover. Staff is very friendly and helpful. When I wanted to extend my staying, they did some swaps so I could keep my room as long as possible and then they agreed to move my stuff to new room while I was enjoying the hills. Internet connection was reliable and fast even for an IT specialist and online meetings. I'm very picky and usually I try to find in reasonable distance the best restaurants instead of eating in my hotel so I booked it only with breakfast. At the end I was eating there regularly as it turned out that this was actually one of the best ones. I'm suspicious that it would have been much cheaper as a full board, but for me it was still worth it. I liked the approach where I could use buffet for starters and then the soup and main meal was a la carte, always something interesting, no ordinary meals. Very good service. Opening hours were friendly, no problem with coming something after 20:00. I like craft beers and they had them in their offer, like local craft New England IPA. Breakfast also perfect, with some alterations and something special. Hotel seems to be family friendly, but I was never bothered by any kids. There was reasonable arrangement of tables. The wellness was officially open 16-19, but at 19 nobody comes to kick the guests out. The capacity is sufficient unless the hotel is full and weather too bad. In the wellness area, there are available good drinks for free. For entertainment there is a table football at the basement.

We are not so young anymore (76) and you"ll have to climb a staircase to the first floor. Viehhofen is close to Zell Am See and Lofer and there is enough for walking and seeing and climbing or to take a lift up the mountains. Traffic is pretty easy to negotiate.

Viehhofen is a rather small village, but it's conveniently located as a starting point for excursions and hikes. There's a ski lift right in town, which can be used free of charge with the Viehhofen SummerCard – but only from Thursday to Sunday.

Quiet location surrounded by nature, cleanliness, nice helpful staff, excellent breakfast, five-course evening menu - the main course also offered a vegetarian option, beautiful cozy wellness, shuttle service to the ski slopes. Nothing to complain about

The Viehhofen resort is small, but offers everything you need for a winter holiday spent on the mountain (basic food shop with pizzeria right in the Kramerhaus, across the street "i" with Schipas sales and a bank. There is an excellent connection to the ski areas Zell am See, Saalbach/Hinterglemm and also Leogang.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Right next to the apartment you could park a car that took us to the ski lift. The slopes are wide and groomed. The slopes are for both beginners and advanced skiers. I recommend it, we really enjoyed skiing.

Viehhofen itself isn't exactly a spectacular destination;...

Viehhofen itself isn't exactly a spectacular destination; it's a small village in a narrow valley, but nearby there are plenty of opportunities for both summer and winter, making it a perfect starting point for skiing in places like Saalbach Hinterglemm or Zell am See (the new gondola is right next to the apartments!).

-amazing location in the middle of woods, very quiet but far away from any civilization -modern hotel with nice restaurant and garden (great breakfast, a bit overpriced dinner and drinks) -toiletries were amazing (you can buy soap, shampoo etc in the hotel) -dog friendly -good parking under roof

Lovely accommodation in a quiet location but in easy reach of everything in Viehhofen. The owner was very welcoming and our apartment was clean and comfortable. We would certainly stay here again!
