We are from Austria so we did a quick weekend getaway. Visited the Prater and the Ikono interactive museum. Prater was good. Since the weather was a little cold, it was less crowded. Found it difficult to park our car since almost all the Parkgarages were full. So highly recommend to take the U-Bahn. Ikono was ok. Might be interesting for small kids like around 5 years. Vienna is quite compact and easy to get around. Activities range from cultural classical concerts to fairground rides almost within walking distance of each other! Particularly liked Cafe Vollpension in Schleifmuhlgasse (near Naschmarkt), Edlingers Tempel restaurant in Praterstrasse and Schone Perle restaurant in Grosse Pfarrgasse. It was very disappointing that we as tourists were fined heavily for not having a train ticket because we could not find a ticket machine . Nice city, very interesting Museums, apart for the MAK which was totally disorganised, with nothing of value to present. THe public transportation is very convenient, I preferred regular restaurants to the Nashmarket, the Nashmarket was more a tourist trap that a place for delicacies. Vienna is a beautiful city with many historical and cultural experience opportunities. It's easy to get around on the mass transit and parking near the major areas is thin but possible. The people were friendly and helpful, and most spoke at least some English. We were there for 4 days, but most people would need 8 to do what we did. We could definitely have stayed for 2 more days. I highly recommend the Votive Church and the Mozart House Concerts. Both were fantastic!Guest review byGinaUnited States

It is situated just outside the city centre but and underground station is just outside the hotel so it made it easy to get to the centre and to travel around Vienna.
