Our was room was modern and very clean. It had everything we needed and more, including coffee, and toaster. We had an issue with our rental car and Kate and Joe went above and beyond to help us find a local solution. Also, their dining recommendations were spot on. Many thanks to them.

Lovely little place, cabins were clean and spacious. Could sleep a family of 6 and very well proportioned for such a small place. Shower was unbelievable, pressure excellent and then kitchen hasld everything needed. Only thing was 2in 1 hob/oven thing which didn't heat very well. Bed was soooo comfy, soft mattress. Located right next to the river this was extremely peaceful and in driving distance of the mountains. Wish I had stayed longer.

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location. Vibrant due to "The Tour Of Bright" cycling race up through the mountains, beautiful river, good dining. Recommend Tomahawk for share platter and great cocktails, but so many other good restaurants. Not for me, but hang gliding, rock climbing cycling. For me...great fly fishing in the Ovens and Buckland Rivers. Great base for skiers in the winter

Bright is our favourite place in the world, so I guess we’re a little biased. I could wax lyrical all day about how it’s the perfect spot for families with the river, the wonderful adventure playground, the splash park, the walking tracks and the ice-cream shop with the best ice-cream, not to mention the perfect spot for adventurers at the base of Mt Buffalo and close to the ski fields of Falls Creek and Mt Hotham. It’s the perfect spot for those who don’t want to travel around as everything you could need is within walking distance, and of course the perfect spot for gardeners with the abundance of spring blooms and glorious autumn colour, and let’s mot forget the perfect spot for cyclists … I could go on and on. Instead, I’ll just quote Molly: do yourself a favour!

Perfect location for a 2-3 day family stay.

Perfect location for a 2-3 day family stay. Town is right on the riverside with beautiful scenery in every direction. Some nice cafes and restaurants. A 30-45min drive in any direction for an adventure and scenic drive.

Lovely pretty town.

Lovely pretty town. Enjoyed pit stop bros burger joint and Thai restaurant in Ireland st and recommend gum tree pies. Beautiful views above mount beauty and red stag restaurant had amazing views with deers, emus and ostriches. Great alpine break

Bright is picturesque and one of my favourite places to...

Bright is picturesque and one of my favourite places to visit any time of the year. You can hire bikes (or bring your own) and ride the rail trail which mostly follows the river meandering alongside bush and farmlands. Mount Buffalo is close by for fantastic views, great bushwalks (outside of winter) and the beautiful old Chalet (currently closed but due to reopen in 2026). In winter you can also cross-country ski and toboggan at Mt Buffalo. The ski fields of Mt Hotham and Falls Creeks are just over an hour away. The canyon walk in the centre of Bright is beautiful and if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of a platypus. There are a good range of restaurants, cafes & pubs and lots of gorgeous shops to browse - my favourites are Winding Road Design Studio and Bowerbird. If you have kids there is one of the best playgrounds and water play areas right on the river. All in all, Bright is fantastic - we have had many holidays there over the last 25 years and will keep returning as we love it so much. Each time we return we always find something a bit different to do, see or explore.

A very beautiful town with everything you need for a weekend...

A very beautiful town with everything you need for a weekend away. Lunch at the hotel was very expensive but wholesome. We enjoyed a trip to the Apple orchard. What a delight that was with lots of choices of apples, cider and souvenirs. The children’s playground was amazing. Thank you Bright for your hospitality.

Wonderful friendly customer based service. The owners couldn't do enough to assist with any of our requirements. Perfectly positioned close to restaurants and pubs as well as a supermarket. There's a river path behind the premises that winds its way into Bright. Our room was fantastic. The room we had was furnished comfortably and had quality fittings. Off street parking was extremely convenient. A pleasure to stay there. 10/10.

Great simple Motel room with amazing views. The hotel host were lovely and hospitable. Opened our Riverview room sliding doors and had access to picnic tables and can see the river at our doorstep. Left our sliding door wide open while at the room just so that we could hear the sound of the river flowing. Quick access to walks from the Motel and very short walk into town to all Restaurants and shops. :-)

This gorgeous location and the family friendly house were beyond our expectations. A beautiful walking / bike trail just outside the back gate takes you into town or you can ride to Porepunka for lunch! The Birch House has everything you need and is kept to the highest standards. Will be making it our annual family holiday destination for sure!!
