AustraliaWonderful stay. Greg cooked us a dinner which made me re-think if I was in my granny’s house. Extraordinary location. Greg has everything you need. Pool table, interesting stories, cold beers and delicious food. Absolutely intend to go back someday. Energy comes from solar and batteries, fully renewable. It is a place I’d fully recommend 10/10 stay for all ages and interests.

CanadaThis is a truly lovely and unique spot in the lovely little village of Daintree. Our comfortable room overlooked the Daintree river so we had front row seats for bird watching and views to the lovely scenery. The outdoor shared kitchen with table to dine overlooking the river is an added bonus. Michael the host is super friendly and keen to share ideas to view wildlife etc. Incredible seeing all those flying foxes on the tree by the property. This was a very special place we will not forget.

Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. 4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Injured Emus in cars, wild wombats and an attack by a cassowary and the people who were scared to go into their room because there was a small green tree snake 30 m away on the balcony!!Guest review byJulieAustralia - 8.0

Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. However, we changed our plans and stayed in Port Douglas which was close enough to allow daily trips to Daintree but had better - and better value - hotels, a choice of restaurants and so on.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!Guest review byIanP65Australia - 10.0

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. So we did this stop last minute just because of the location. We were not expecting a 5 star resort but what they offered was just fine. The owner of the property carried my bags and gave us travel advise about the Caleb Track. Told me to call if I got stuck crossing river. Awesome Guy. They also helped us book a crocodile cruise as well. you can walk from your room to the dock. The Pub across the street was spectacular. Had one of the best meals in Australia there.
