From the second we arrived, Rachel could not have made us feel more welcome or relaxed. The entire property is stunning and the attention to detail was unreal. Loved the accommodation, peacefulness, and location. The accommodation was super clean and tidy. Enjoyed just relaxing and taking in the lovely surroundings. Big shout out to Audry, who made our stay exceptional. Waking up to the horses close by was a really nice touch. Time went too quickly, and I will be booking another break at Krishna Farm Retreat.

Absolutely gorgeous house, location and views. The house is well decorated and very functional. The bathroom has a huge bath and open shower with views to die for. Could easily accommodate 3x couples and a couple of kids on the sofa beds. Would be a fantastic weekend away. Cannot recommend this place enough! Absolutely amazing!!

Situated in the hinterland mountains of the Sunshine Coast, this area has great appeal. Good restaurants, boutique shops, and wonderful scenic walks, or for the less active, plenty of scenic drives. Whether swimming under waterfalls, or enjoying excellent food this area is an excellent choice.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic.

Hiking in the area is always fantastic. The shops are quaint and quirky if that's your thing (not really mine) but for me it's the region's nature that keeps me coming back. To that end, there are pretty limited mid-range accommodation options that aren't in the townships. Some areas have more of that sort of thing nestled right among the mountains and forests, whereas in this area that kind of accommodation is harder to find and more expensive - though if you're willing to head down the range to the Eudlo area (it's only a 20 minute drive) you can do well staying there and taking day trips up the mountains.

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline...

Mapleton is a small country town on the top of a ridgeline with that side having views over Mount Coolum and Marcoola to the ocean in the distance. There are numerous hikes/walks in the area including access to the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. If you visit I would highly recommend having a lunch at the Mapleton Hotel, it was an absolute surprise, the food and service was sensational. The more touristy town of Montville is a short drive away. The town also has several coffee shops, an IGA and service station.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty.

Mapleton is a quiet area close to natural beauty. Not too far to travel for a light meal. Fish and chips great, meals at Mapleton Tavern. Coastal and country views. Good location for a base. Not too far to drive to Flaxton, Montville and onto Maleny.

Mapleton is one of a string of small villages along the...

Mapleton is one of a string of small villages along the Blackall Range ridge with access to lots of rainforest walks, long and short, lakes, cafes, shops, galleries and restaurants. The Mapleton Tavern had good food and was open on a Monday night when many other venues were closed. Mapleton is much smaller and quieter than its neighbours Maleny and Montville and a nice alternative with less passing tourist traffic.
