Located in the lovely area & easy to access to the touristic points, as well as the supermarket. The whole idea of rennovating the old wardners' house into the hotel is a very good chance to acknowledge the city's history. Their complemntary services were also nice... welcome drink at the Gimlet bar, wine & beer at the fridge... if you love drinking definitely here's the place.

Beautiful old building with great location especially the number of lovely cafes on the street, and close to shops and restaurants. Staff were lovely and helpful. They recommended a cafe for breakfast and it was the best. Our room ( even though it was not one of the bigger ones) was very big with lots of space for suitcases. Everything was very clean and felt new. Good size bathroom. What I loved the most was the linen…have never stayed in a hotel with such great quality sheets. As for the duvet cover, it was sooo soft and thick, it felt like velvet. I also loved the fact that it was a proper duvet cover that encased the duvet. I hate hotels that wrap the duvet with 2 sheets and it always unravels in the night and I find that unhygienic. I wanted to purchase the same sheets for home….they were absolutely the best quality linen that I have ever encountered and we have stayed in many luxury hotels.

E-bikes great for an overnight stay- covered almost the whole island in 24 hours! Wonderful beaches for swimming (even in August), good Quokka spotting tips from bike staff, and great to stay overnight and have an island almost to yourself as the 4pm ferry departs. Too much to squeeze into a one night stay, so more nights and a more relaxing pace for proper exploring next time :)

    Rottnest is an absolute gem.

Rottnest is an absolute gem. Apart from the quokkas (which are everywhere), the beaches and the water are picture perfect and absolutely pristine. It is so easy to get there from Perth, it would be a crime not to go there.

Loved the scenery and the Quokkas, Only downfall was the emergency door between rooms that allowed you to hear conversations, tv shows and coughing from next door which took away from trying to relax

A great place to relax and recharge, and get some easy walking and cycling in, as well as snorkellng. Different options for coffee, drinks and meals depending on your budget, group (family, friends, groups). Loved the quokkas and the beaches with virtually no one on them.

Bicycle ride with the family till the tallest light house was the best! Mother's day lunch at Frankie's was simply delicious! Amazing pizza and good kids menu: (creamy chicken pasta for my fussy eater was a winner) The Nutella donut at the bakery next to general store was a special treat for the kids and they loved it! Quokkars everywhere. They're super cute and friendly. It's not allowed to touch or feed them thou.

The scenery was the best. It's just so beautiful.. Rottnest Island must be kept accessible and affordable. There is now a tendency for prices of accommodation going up in Rottnest Island due to some overpriced hotels. The hop-on hop-off buses were very convenient for moving around. The free walking tours by very knowledgeable volunteer guides is well worth it. More visitors should be encouraged to go on the various walking trails.
